Philippe Cases, Venture Partner, Partech. Philippe joined Partech in 1997 and focuses on software. He has 17 years of experience in private equity in Europe and the U.S., with 12 years specifically focused on early stage investing.

Prior to joining Partech, Philippe was a Partner with Sofinnova in Paris. He has been a Director of Egide and BVRP (both listed on the French market) and Adknowledge (acq. by CMGI). In addition, he was involved with Flamel Technologies (FLML) and Rightpoint Software (acq. by E.piphany).

Daniel Chalef, Chief Operating Officer KnowledgeTree and a board member of Jam Warehouse, KnowledgeTree's parent company. Prior to commercializing KnowledgeTree, Daniel, as a member of Jam Warehouse's executive team, helped secure and deliver enterprise software projects for world-benchmarked retailers and consumer goods companies including Tesco Stores Limited, Britvic Softdrinks Limited, Foschini Group Ltd and Woolworths South Africa.

Kevin Efrusy, General Partner, Accel Partners, Kevin came to Accel Partners in 2003 . His background is primarily as an entrepreneur and operating executive. He served twice as Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers where he started Corio, an ASP pioneer which went public on Nasdaq and was acquired by IBM in 2005. Later he served as the first CEO of IronPlanet, an online marketplace for heavy equipment.  Kevin has an MSEE, BSEE, and BA in Economics all from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller scholar.

Ismael Ghalimi, Founder and CEO of Intalio, is a passionate entrepreneur and fervent industry observer; creator of BPMI.org; initiator of the BPM 2.0 movement; producer of the Office 2.0 Conference; and designer of the Redux Model 1. Ismael is an Advisor to several high-tech companies, including 3TERA, AdventNet (a.k.a. Zoho), Diigo, EchoSign, EveryTrail, G.ho.st, Move & Play, Open IT Works, and ThinkFree. Ismael is a professional scuba diver, instrument rated private pilot, and American V-Twin rider.

Chander Kant, CEO and founder of Zmanda provides a unique combination of leadership in open source and data protection software. He has been involved on both the technology and business sides of open source software and was named one of the "Top 20 Linux Luminaries" by Linux World Magazine in 2004. Prior to Zmanda, Chander founded and ran LinuxCertified, Inc., an open source product and services company. Chander holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (where he did research work in Database Management Systems) and a BS in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Arnaud Le Hors, overseeing the management of IBM standards activities and leading IBM open source and standards program in the emerging markets. He has been working on open standards for over 10 years, both as a staff member of standards development organizations (SDO) such as W3C and as a representative for IBM. Arnaud has been involved in every aspect of the standards development process. This includes the technical, strategic, political, and legal aspects, both internal and external to an SDO and a company like IBM. Arnaud was involved in the development of several major standards, including HTML and XML. He has also been involved in open source projects, such as Xerces, the XML parser developed by the Apache Software Foundation for which he was one of the lead architects.

Mårten Mickos,Senior Vice President, Database Group, Sun Microsystems Mårten Mickos oversees the database group within Sun's Software division. He joined Sun in 2008 through its acquistion of MySQL AB.  As CEO of MySQL for six years, Mickos helped grow that company from a start-up, to the second-largest independent vendor of open source software in the world. Prior to MySQL, Mickos held multi-national CEO and senior executive positions in his native Finland. He holds a M.Sc. in technical physics from Helsinki University of Technology.

John Occhipinti, Managing Director, Woodside Fund. John Occhipinti has over 14 years of experience in enterprise software technology, marketing, and sales. As Managing Director of Woodside Fund, John dedicates his expertise to the development of ventures in the enterprise software sector. John serves on the Board of Directors of Intalio (Business Process Management infrastructure software), VeriWave (Wireless LAN test equipment), and Tacit Software (Enterprise Expertise Automation software). Prior to joining Woodside Fund, John was an early executive at Netscape Communications. John has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Walter A. The respected English publishers Chambers and Partners names him in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, describing him as "outstanding. " Mr. Radcliffe is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, 2005-2006 edition. In 2004, he was named one of Northern California's Top 100 intellectual property Super Lawyers, in a joint project of Law&Politics and SF magazines.

Dirk Riehle leads the Open Source Research Group at SAP Labs in Palo Alto, California (Silicon Valley). Before this, he was the co-founder of an on-demand business software startup in Berlin, Germany, which used agile methods and strategically employed open source software. A fan of wikis since their inception, Dirk started the Wiki Symposium, a conference dedicated to wiki research and practice. Dirk is also the lead architect of the first UML virtual machine. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from ETH Zurich as well as an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School (GSB). Sander Ruiter (1975) senior policy advisor, Ministry of Economic Affairs at the Working for the IT policy department he is responsible for the implementation of the actionplan on using open standards and open source software in the public sector (The Netherlands in Open Connection http://www.ososs.nl/noiv/en). He is also concerned with improving relations between government and the IT sector to enhance the benefits of IT deployment in the public sector. In the past he has been concerned with the coordination of IT policy (The Netherlands IT-agenda) and the development for policies concerning innovative electronic communications. Sander Ruiter has adegree in Business Administration and in Retail Management.

Tony Wasserman,Director of the Software Management MS program at Carnegie Mellon West, and the Executive Director of its Center for Open Source Investigation (COSI), which focuses on the evaluation and adoption of open source software, as well as its use in mobile devices.  Tony is best known as the Founder and CEO of Interactive Development Environments (IDE.) Before starting IDE, Tony was a Professor of Medical Information Science at the University of California, San Francisco, and a Lecturer in the Computer Science Division at the University of California, Berkeley.
